The AV Editor is responsible for the creation of video and photo content as well as editing photos for use across social media, events, news (print and broadcast) and other platforms/channels as needed. He/she also works closely with the Media Production Section Head on media production projects for GDMO partnerships e.g. documentaries, media collaborations and similar projects with partners outside of GDMO. The role holder is expected to demonstrate strong teamwork skills and carry out his/her duties in accordance with the relevant business policies and procedures.
General Responsibilities:
- Support the Photographers and Videographers with editing photo and video content for the Strategic Relations and Brand Dubai teams, in line with the Communications Plans and Content Plans
- Develop video and photo content in line with the requirements of the Strategic Relations and Brand Dubai teams
- Support the Media Production Section Head with media partnerships, e.g. documentaries, media collaborations etc.
- Provide metrics and supporting documents to the Media Production Section Head, to support with the monthly KPI reports
Develop video content
- Receive requests for video montages for projects, initiatives, events, social media, news, websites or other platforms
- Create high-quality video montages for projects, initiatives, events, social media, news, websites or other platforms
- Collaborate with videographers to ensure videos captured are in line with requests received from the Strategic Relations teams (Comms and Media Relations and Content Planning) and Brand Dubai
- Use industry-standard software and equipment to edit and enhance videos, including color correction, audio mixing, and visual effects as needed as per the brief and requirements of the request
- Develop and maintain a consistent brand and visual style across all montages as per the Brand Dubai guidelines for GDMO
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices for video editing to continuously improve skills and techniques
- Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure all equipment and software are functioning properly to minimize production delays
Upload and store completed and/or edited videos in the archive, ensuring to correctly tag all content for easy retrieval
Develop photo content

- Edit and produce final versions of photographs for projects, initiatives, events, social media, news, websites or other platforms
- Collaborate with photographers to ensure photos captured are in line with requests received from the Strategic Relations teams (Comms and Media Relations and Content Planning) and Brand Dubai
- Use industry-standard software and equipment to edit and enhance photos, including color correction and photo enhancement as needed as per the brief and requirements of the request

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices for photo editing to continuously improve skills and techniques

Media Production Projects
- Support the Media Production Section Head in creating the concept (storyboard, scripts, etc) for initiatives, taking into consideration the partners, media platforms etc with whom the collaboration will take place
- Assist the Media Production Section Head in developing a production plan, including sourcing resources for test pilots (production crew, spokespeople, talent, internal photographers/videographers, etc) and laying out the content for the test pilot (storyboard, mock-ups etc)
- Assist the Media Production Section Head in scheduling resources for production and arranging resources, permits and schedules
- Develop creative aspects of production (artistic design, graphic design, treatment, sets, wardrobe, music, CGI, props) for the pilot content, including key messages, scripts etc
- Assist the Media Production Section Head in developing and launching test pilots
- Provide feedback and insights to the Media Production Section Head for the post-test pilot launch monitoring, and develop a report with information on the outcome of the test pilot to support decision making on whether to continue the collaboration
**Qualifications**
Functional Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
Leadership/Supervisory
- A minimum of 3 years working in a team
Education and Qualification Required
- Bachelor’s degree in film and video production, visual communication, or a related field
- Additional qualifications: proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Photoshop
