**Job description**:
**1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for Foundation Stage 1**
Kings’ School Dubai Inclusion Team are looking a 1:1 LSA to join the team. This role is to work 1:1 with a child in FS1 from 7:10-12:45 daily.
This is a superb opportunity for aspiring, imaginative and inspirational Learning Support Assistant to join an outstanding, creative, innovative and supportive team.
- Have sound knowledge of the Foundation Stage curriculum.
- Be an expert in managing behaviour and have experience in working with children who display behavioural needs and have appropriate behaviour management qualifications.
- Have an understanding of how to develop communication needs within the classroom.
- Be able to follow direction from therapists and implement these strategies in the classroom.
- Have a secure knowledge of how to use alternative styles of communication.
- Be an innovative, flexible, creative, enthusiastic practitioner and be able to plan and deliver a range of interventions.
- Know and understand how to use a range of strategies to support learning in the classroom.
- Have an understanding of IEP’s and be confident to attend parent meetings.
- Be a strong communicator and be able to build positive relationships with parents.
- Be an innovative, creative, enthusiastic practitioner.
- Be committed to the wellbeing and pastoral care of all students within their care.
- Have an understanding of how to manage a range of behaviour needs.
- Be able to develop positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
- A valid UAE residence visa is a must for the position.
Successful applicants will take up their position immediately upon receipt of 3 satisfactory references, a police clearance certificate / Enhanced DBS, and fully attested educational certificates.
