**Responsibilities**
- Continuous Monitoring: Monitor network traffic, system logs, security alerts, and other data sources 24/7 to identify unusual or suspicious activities.
- Security Incident Detection: Detect and analyse security incidents, including cyberattacks, breaches, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Alert Triage: Prioritize security alerts based on severity and relevance, taking immediate action on critical alerts and escalating as needed.
- Incident Response: Follow established incident response procedures to contain and mitigate security incidents promptly.
- Investigation: Conduct initial investigations into security incidents, gathering evidence and information for further analysis.
- Data Analysis: Analyse data and logs to identify patterns and anomalies that may indicate security threats or vulnerabilities.
- SIEM and Security Tool Usage: Use Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools and other security technologies to correlate and analyse security data.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of security incidents, actions taken, and resolutions for compliance, reporting, and auditing purposes.
- Communication: Communicate with other team members, incident response teams, and stakeholders to provide updates on security incidents and collaborate on mitigation efforts.
- Shift Handover: Ensure a smooth transition of information and responsibilities when transitioning to the next shift or team member.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, cybersecurity principles, and security technologies.
- Analytical Skills: The ability to analyse data quickly and accurately to identify security threats and incidents.
- Problem-Solving: Effective problem-solving skills to investigate security incidents and develop appropriate responses.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail is essential for recognizing subtle signs of security threats.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to document incidents and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Stress Management: The ability to work well under pressure and make critical decisions during security incidents.
- Shift Work: Willingness and availability to work in shifts, including overnight and weekends, to ensure 24/7 monitoring coverage.

Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), may be beneficial.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
