We are currently looking for an Oriental Chef for Al Bada Hotel & Resorts by Cristal. It is ideally located Al Ain.

**Education and Experience Requirements**:

- Hotel management diploma or equivalent. Read and understand instructions, safety rules, etc.
- Minimum 2 years housekeeping experience in a supervisory capacity, 2 years line level experience in all aspects of the Housekeeping department.

**Scope and General Purpose of Job**:

- To assist the Executive Housekeeper in the effective operation of the Housekeeping department, ensuring that all Company standards of quality and cleanliness are maintained at all times whilst meeting the needs of the business. Oversee and direct the day to day operation of Housekeeping Department. Promotes the desired work culture around the core values of Cristal Hotels and Resorts.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Supervise the implementation of housekeeping standards and procedures.
- Directs the work assignment of supervisory and non-supervisory personnel.
- Schedules routine inspections by supervisors, of all housekeeping areas including occupied and non-occupied areas.
- Acts on behalf of the Director of Housekeeping in their absence.
- Maintain a current and thorough knowledge of all housekeeping systems.
- Open and close the shift and ensure effective shift hand over.
- Assist with the preparation of efficient departmental work schedules.
- Perform Room allocations.
- Perform Room inspections to audit standards.
- Liaise with Front Office for guest and hotel requirements.
- Ensure guest valet is processed and delivered in a timely manner.
- Co-ordinate special projects (e.g. site rooms, vermin control, window and carpet cleaning, room inventories).
- Effectively manage staffing costs by preparing efficient work schedules.
- Assist in the management of lost property for the hotel.
- Manage storage areas.
- Maintain adequate stock levels and complete stock takes as required.
- Conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known.
- Assist with the recruitment of staff.
- Assist with the department performance of staff.
- Conduct on the job training in accordance with the departmental standards, and record progress of staff.
- Ensure new staff complete their orientation.
- Gain understanding of the departmental goals and financial targets.
- Comply with hotel rules and regulations and provisions contained in the employment handbook.
- Comply with company grooming and uniform standards.
- Comply with timekeeping and attendance policies.
- Actively participate in training and development programs and maximise opportunities for self development.
- Contribute to Housekeeping Departmental Meetings
- Comply with the company corporate code of conduct at all times.
- Familiarize yourself with the company vision and values which link to our model of desired behaviors that we expect all employees to display.
- Perform other tasks at the level of the role as directed by your department head in pursuit of the achievement of business goals.
- Desire and ability to improve your knowledge and abilities through on-going training.
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team with colleagues from different viewpoints, cultures and countries.

Pay: From AED2,500.00 per month
