**Job Summary**:
As Legal Counsel you will report to the Chief Operations Officer (COO). You will play a crucial role in providing legal support and advice on a wide range of corporate, commercial, environmental, employment and real estate/mall management litigation matters. The incumbent will be responsible for handling complex legal issues, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and protecting the company's interests.

**Responsibilities**:

- Draft, review and submit contracts, agreements and transaction documents.
- Provide legal counsel to the senior leadership and internal stakeholders and ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Work closely with other functions within the company to provide strategic legal advice.
- Provide expert legal advice and support on corporate, commercial, environmental, employment, real estate/mall management matters, including contracts, agreements, and business transactions.
- Handle real estate-related legal matters, including property acquisitions, leasing agreements, and property development projects.
- Conduct legal due diligence on potential real estate investments and transactions.
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, leases, and other legal agreements.
- Oversee and manage real estate litigation cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess legal risks and provide strategic guidance to mitigate potential liabilities.
- Stay up-to-date with local and international laws, regulations, and industry trends relevant to real estate operations.
- Liaise with external legal counsel, when necessary, to seek specialized advice or support.
- Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures related to legal matters.
- Mitigate the Company's legal and reputational risks globally.
- Manage external stakeholders, like external counsel for litigation, investors, financing institutions, shareholders etc.
- Manage internal legal function.
- Lead and manage a team of junior legal professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and fostering their professional growth.

**Technical Skills**:

- MS Office Software proficiency (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Video conferencing software — Zoom.
- Project management software e.g. Asana, MS Project.

**Supervisory**:

- Supervise Para Legal Assistants.

**Education/Qualification**:

- GCC-qualified lawyer is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Law or related field, the law degree must be approved by the UAE’s Ministry of Education and must meet the country’s standards for legal education preferred.
- Minimum 5 (five) years of relevant legal experiences as a lawyer with focus on corporate commercial law, employment, environmental, real estate, and litigation processes within GCC.
- Licensed to practice law from the State Bar Association.
- Strong understanding of legal principles and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Arabic.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

**Other Requirements**:

- UAE Driving License (required).

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
