**Job Summary**:
The Accreditation and Compliance Manager is responsible to the Chief Strategy and Excellence Officer for the provision accreditation information and reports to support program accreditation and institutional licensure. The Accreditation and Compliance Manager also undertakes compliance audits to ensure that accreditation standards are met by the various units within the university. The manager will develop training programs, systems and processes in conjunction with faculty as part of the University’s drive to continuously improve the quality of student outcomes. In addition, the Accreditation and Compliance Manager will conduct feasibility studies to provide schools and departments with Labor Market Intelligence about the sectors covered by programs and the school.

The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) is an independent co-education institution of Higher Education that provides an integrated American-style, undergraduate and graduate education. All programs are accredited by the Ministry of Education of the UAE; additionally, it is accredited by the U.S. regional accreditation association, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). The American model of higher education ensures not only skills in specific academic fields, but also a general education curriculum that exposes students to new ideas and ways of thinking critically about local and global issues. AURAK is a young and rapidly growing university. AURAK is located in Ras Al Khaimah, one of the Northern Emirates and a rapidly growing region. The beauty of Ras Al Khaimah is reflected in its traditions and diverse landscapes — its white sandy beaches, the majestic Hajjar Mountains, the expansive desert and its sands dunes, and the many historical sites.

**Job Purpose & Responsibilities**

The Accreditation and Compliance Manager is responsible to the Chief Strategy and Excellence Officer for the provision accreditation information and reports to support program accreditation and institutional licensure. The Accreditation and Compliance Manager also undertakes compliance audits to ensure that accreditation standards are met by the various units within the university. **Minimum Qualification and Education**

**a) Academic**

Masters in a related field from an accredited University

**b) Professional/Vocational**

Teaching Qualification, ISO (or similar) certification.

**Required Knowledge and Skills**
- The ability to work collegially with others in an academic setting.
- Knowledge of accreditation process, student assessment and measurement and quality improvement processes.
- Demonstrable commitment to quality improvement in Higher Education.
- IT literacy in assessment and measurement of student achievement as well as standard Microsoft Office software.

**Work Experience**
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience of quality improvement frameworks
- Experience of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Establishment.
- Experience of managing projects and project management tools and systems.

**Language proficiency required**

Proficient in English (Arabic desirable)
