**JOB DESCRIPTION**:

- To ensure that all staff carry out their duties using approved procedures & only the materials & equipment provided by the department, in a safe economical manner & are following training at all times
- Completion of daily work records, annual leave, staff roster and timesheet authorization
- Train housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks and oversee staff on a daily basis
- To maintain good relations with the staff of all level of the organization
- Mentor and coach new employees and to support the induction process
- To carry out staff probation reviews, complete & develop staff performance review plans where needed
- To report any compliments, complaints or incident of theft, fire, accident, loss, damage or other irregularity and take such action as is necessary or practicable.
- General assistance with associated administration duties
- Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment
- Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments
- Check rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness
- Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence
- Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards
- Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job
- Respond to patient’s complaints and special requests
- Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies and monitor and refill cleaning products stock including floor cleaner, bleach and rubber gloves
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Proven work experience as a **Housekeeping Supervisor **in **Hospital **is **MANDATORY**.
- Excellent written and spoken skills in **English**:

- Highly customer-focused, enthusiastic and results-oriented, with an ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in a calm and structured manner
- Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks for large organizations
- Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products
- Excellent organizational and team management skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends

**Experience**:

- hospital: 1 year (required)
- Housekeeping supervisor: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)
