The performance of diagnostic radiographic techniques encompassing specialisation in one or more modalities. Rotating in areas of competency, including but not limited to, general x-ray, theatres, CT & MRI.
- Applies theoretical knowledge and skills to produce high quality diagnostic images.
- Act as an advocate to patients and staff thereby minimizing their exposure to radiation.
- Provide timely, efficient, and courteous provision of radiographic services, considering the physical, emotional, and cultural needs of the patient.
- Perform duties without supervision, or as the sole-worker when necessary.
- Assess and manage own workload of patients, communicate work priorities, and organise workload in conjunction with other team members.
- Responsible for the safe use and maintenance of imaging equipment, reporting faults to senior staff or directly to the manufacturer.
- To participate in the departmental rota, being flexible in responding to service needs.
- To work within, support and communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective use of the radiological service.
- Communicate with the referrer any changes to referrals after assessing the clinical justification for an x-ray examination against local protocols.
- Communicate information relating to procedures to staff, patients and carers and ensure informed consent for examinations.
- Anticipate and interpret the patient’s needs, defining the level of customer care required on an individual basis.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of patients, staff, and visitors within the department.
- Ensure patients receive timely and accurate information about their examination, and ensure urgent findings are communicated in the appropriate way to referrers.
- Demonstrate a problem-solving approach to issues arising at a local level, evaluating the need to refer problems to the line manager.
- To be accountable for own professional actions and working within Valiant Clinics Professional Code of Conduct.
- To be aware of all Valiant Clinic and departmental policies and procedures relevant to clinical practice and adhere to them.
- To observe and maintain strict confidentiality of personal information relating to patients and staff.
- Be responsible for ensuring the legal documentation on the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) associated with each completed patient episode.
- To safely administer contrast media and other drugs in accordance with protocols as required.
- To ensure the safe movement and transfer of patients and equipment, following manual handling guidelines and using risk assessment.
- To ensure that all equipment is free from damage and wear and tear by employing appropriate equipment handling.
- To ensure appropriate infection control measures are followed.
- Observe a general duty of care for the health, safety and well-being of one’s self, work colleagues, visitors and patients within the clinic, in addition to any specific risk management associated with this post.
- Actively participate in the departmental Quality Assurance and audit programmes.
- Contribute to practice development in reaction to the findings of audit and recent evidence.
- Deal with complaints in accordance with the clinic’s complaints procedure.
- Keep high standards of Health and Safety by correctly reporting faults, adverse clinical incidents and near misses according to the clinic policies.
- Where applicable be responsible for the supervision and training of colleagues, and non-radiographic staff, assuming professional responsibility for their work.
To be responsible for individual CME and participate in the department’s CME activities. Participate in both internal and external events as well as private study.

Education: Graducation degree or Equvaliant

Nationality: Any

Licesne: DHA or DHA Egliblity

Experience: with minimum 3 years of experience in the UAE.
