## **Position Overview**

The Pastry Commis 2 is responsible for assisting in the preparation, production, and presentation of all pastry and dessert items in the kitchen while maintaining high standards of hygiene, quality, and efficiency. This role requires a passion for pastry arts, attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting the vision of Hola Keto in creating innovative, healthy desserts that meet dietary needs without compromising on taste.
## **Key Responsibilities**
- **Pastry Production**:

- Assist in the preparation and production of pastry items, including cakes, cookies, and desserts, following Hola Keto’s recipes and guidelines.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately, ensuring consistency in quality and flavor.
- Assist in creating keto-friendly, sugar-free, and gluten-free pastries that align with Hola Keto’s menu and standards.
- **Operations and Efficiency**:

- Organize workstations with necessary equipment and ingredients for efficient workflow.
- Assist in plating and garnishing desserts for service, ensuring a visually appealing presentation.
- Support in maintaining a high level of production during peak hours.
- **Quality Control**:

- Ensure all pastry products meet Hola Keto’s standards for quality, taste, and appearance.
- Report any inconsistencies or potential issues to the Pastry Chef or Sous Chef promptly.
- **Hygiene and Safety**:

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen at all times.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Adhere to all kitchen safety guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
- **Collaboration and Development**:

- Work collaboratively with the pastry team to achieve kitchen goals.
- Participate in kitchen training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.
- Assist in brainstorming and developing new healthy dessert recipes.
## **Qualifications and Skills**
- **Education & Experience**:

- Diploma or certification in Pastry Arts or Culinary Arts.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a pastry kitchen, preferably with exposure to healthy or diet-specific desserts.
- **Skills & Attributes**:

- Knowledge of keto, sugar-free, and gluten-free baking techniques is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- **Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working in a hot kitchen environment.
