Qhse Advisor

UTEC is currently seeking to hire a **QHSE Advisor** on a** full-time, permanent basis** in **Abu Dhabi, UAE**.

The QHSE Advisor is responsible for the monitoring and measurement of the effectiveness of the Integrated Management System and ensuring the continued compliance with both regulatory and client requirements.

Another key role is to maintain and continually improve the health and safety culture in the region and ensure that everyone involved is aware of their responsibilities.

**Duties/Responsibilities**
- Support the Business Unit Director in the safe delivery of projects
- Identification and management of Business Unit QHSE legal, statutory and other regulatory compliance obligations
- Support the QHSE Team Lead with the development, maintenance, review and continual improvement of Company QHSE documentation and the Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Support Acteon and UTEC Global QHSE programs and initiatives by providing advice and guidance to the Operational and Business Unit Management teams
- Develop and manage business unit QHSE programs, initiatives and improvements
- Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis and present recommendations for corrective and preventative actions
- Facilitate risk assessments /JSAs and make recommendations for mitigating actions
- Conduct site safety inspections
- Manage and lead auditing and compliance requirements both internal and external
- Project HSE management of large and complex projects including preparation of project QHSE documentation
- Lead / participate in project HAZID
- Conduct QHSE related orientation and induction for all new employees
- Monitoring of compliance with inspection and test processes and all documentation to as defined within the field quality control plan
- Provide written reports, production related results and updates to the QHSE Team Lead
- Support the Commercial Department in the preparation of QHSE pre-qualifications, bid information and reports
- Generation and communication of QHSE related safety bulletins
- Liaison with Clients, Suppliers and Regulatory bodies
- Creation and delivery of QHSE related presentations
- Monitoring and reporting of Business Unit QHSE performance
- Facilitation of health and safety meetings
- Collation of safety statistics and identification of trends in incidents and safety observations
- Presentation of improvement recommendations to address identified trends in safety performance
- Participate / attend industry related conferences or seminars as and when requested

**Requirements**:

- NEBOSH General Certificate
- Technical Membership of IOSH (TechIOSH) preferred
- Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 9001/1401/45001 preferred
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
- Experience with conducting presentations and group training courses is preferred
- Knowledge of subsea equipment and installation preferred
