Position: Advanced Paramedic - Emergency Allied Health
Location: Dubai, UAE
Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide advanced life support and medical care at the scene and during transportation to the hospital.
- Assess patients' conditions, administer emergency treatments, and use advanced medical equipment.
- Work collaboratively with other emergency medical personnel, nurses, and physicians to ensure effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient care reports and records.
- Operate emergency vehicles safely and in compliance with local traffic laws and hospital protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to stay current with medical best practices and protocols.
- Ensure all medical equipment is properly maintained, clean, and ready for use.
- Provide guidance and support to junior paramedics and other healthcare staff as needed.
- Perform triage and prioritize patient care based on the severity of conditions.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing reassurance and information about medical procedures and care.
**Requirements**:
- Valid eligibility letter from the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) to practice as an Advanced Paramedic.
- Certification as an Advanced Paramedic or equivalent.
- Proven experience in an advanced paramedic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of advanced emergency medical procedures and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Paramedicine, Emergency Medical Services, or a related field.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or emergency medical services setting in the UAE.
Working Conditions:
