Urea Operator

**Monitor and operates the equipment and the process in assigned area of Urea-1 /Granulation-1, in accordance with SOP’s, policy, procedures and operating instructions. Maintain the plant parameters in safe conditions. Carries out instructions to regulate operating conditions as necessary. Carries out regular monitoring of equipment performance. Informs the senior operator of any abnormality, equipment failure, abnormal noises, unsafe conditions, vibrations, leaks etc. Record details of the plant operations.**
- Operates under the instruction of the Urea-1 Shift Supervisor/ Urea-1 Senior Operators, various system and equipment’s in Urea-1 /Granulation-1 Plant. These are consists of:

- 2300 MT/day Urea synthesis : ( Includes HP reactor, HP stripper, HP pool condenser and HP scrubber).
- HP ammonia and HP carbamate pumps of centrifugal type.
- LP section: (includes rectifying column, LPCC. Flash vessels desorbed column, Hydrolyzer and their related pumps and tanks).
- Evaporation section: (includes, 1st and 2nd evaporators and urea solution and melt pumps (Bungartz pumps) and related tanks.
- Granulation Unit: 2500 MT/day design capacity granulation unit of UFT process. (Includes granulator, first bed cooler, bucket elevators, crushers, vibrating screens, final bed cooler, refrigeration units and Chemical (UF85) dosing facilities.

1. Receives shift hand-over from previous shift operator with all information on process condition. Hand over the shift to the next shift in the shift end.

2. Monitors the parameters of all system in their allotted area. Checks various stages of the process. Take corrective action whenever necessary after informing senior operator. Record details of pressures, temperatures, flows, loads and current ratings and report to senior operator of all abnormal noises, vibrations, leaks, lube oil levels etc.

3. During shutdown, prepares and isolates equipment for inspection, maintenance as per permit to work system when instructed by the shift supervisor. While handing over the equipment to maintenance, ascertains safe condition and signs on the work permit. Make frequent checks when the maintenance of any equipment is going on. Stops the maintenance jobs whenever any unforeseen dangerous situation arises. After completion of maintenance job, ensures that everything is safe and area is clean, then only initiates closing the work permit. During start-up, regulates the systems and the equipment in the assigned field Check the motor and pumps for free rotation, Valves opening in correct sequence, checking temperature increases, adjusting parameters etc.

4. Shutdown equipment in normal or emergency situations in accordance with SOP and instructions from Shift Supervisors/Senior Operators.

5. Informs the Shift Supervisors whenever chemicals are required. Observes the receipt and unloading, noting down quantities and conditions.

6. Participates in the training of new trainee operators (UAE nationals) and developing other employee as well.

Completion of secondary technical (12 years) education or (completion of specific and intensive training for UAE nationals holding ATI diploma).

Minimum 04 years’ diversified experience in process operations in fertilizer. Chemical or a related industry.

1. Knowledge fertilizer industry.

2. Knowledge of legislations, regulations, policies and procedure of plant operations as per

Client Cop.

3. Fluent in written and spoken English.

- Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
