**Position Purpose**

The Busboy/Busgirl must facilitate the waiter/ess in the food and beverage service. He/she is an important link between the kitchen and operations team. Setup the restaurant for each shift and maintain the restaurant in a clean and orderly manner.

Responsible to help assist the service standards in accordance with established policies and procedures.

**Working Hours**
- Working hours will be 5 days a week or an average of 50 hours per week (up to a maximum of 54 hours per week as per UAE labor law), exclusive of 1 hour meal/other breaks per day.
- The weekly days off permitted will be 2 days off per week; the maximum allowance should not be more than two consecutive off days/two non-consecutive off days in one workweek from Sunday to Saturday. Off-days shall be scheduled by management and recorded in the weekly roster.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Be passionate about customer service with the capability of delivering amazing hospitality to our guests.
- Assist lounge waiter/ess in the food and beverage service in a prompt and professional way.
- Set up tables and prepare the mis en place.
- Responsible for the proper handling and cleaning of working material.
- Be punctual when reporting on duty.
- Act according to instructions from the lounge waiter/ess and liaise between the kitchen team and operations team in a co-operative manner.
- Serve side dishes etc., sauces, breads, placing plates upon the table etc.
- Help to clear the tables after each course.
- Ensure that his/her work station is clean, orderly and properly prepared to ensure an efficient service.
- Clean up spilled food or drink or broken dishes and remove empty bottles and trash.
- Carry food, dishes, trays, trolleys etc. from kitchen to the serving tables.
- Approach guests in a friendly & courteous manner, always with a smile.
- Have a complete knowledge of all dishes on the menu and be able to explain them to the guests, if required.
- Keep glasses, ash-trays, cutlery and plates always clean and polished.
- Ensure that sufficient lounge menu and beverage menu folders are available and that they are neat and clean.
- Any complains/problems with guests/colleagues must be reported immediately to the Supervisor/Lounge Manager.
- Participate in training sessions and daily briefings.
- Maintain special care when handling working material and equipment.
- Be familiar with the Basic Food & Hygiene procedures and ensure that these procedures are strictly followed.
- Prepare a requisition for all items necessary to bring the lounge inventory back to par stock level after service.
- Turn off all equipment and secure all inventories after service

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Diploma in Hospitality Management. Additional trainings preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Runner/Busboy/Busgirl in a Restaurant.
- Preferably with hospitality background.
- Excellent in English communication. Additional languages will be an advantage.
- Be able to read and write English.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Be able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
