We need a bright, talented, creative and passionate Furniture Konceptualiser to join our rapidly expanding team.

**To put this role into industry standard terms, we’re looking for a Furniture Designer to develop a pipeline of innovative new educational furniture items for Kidzink.**

**The Deets**
- Design epic and functional furniture
- Be an incredible team player
- Study, research and plan various styles of furniture design
- Find ways to improve our existing furniture items
- Stay informed about design trends and developments (especially in relation to educational environments)
- Select suitable materials, which might include wood, metal, plastic and têxtiles
- Generate sample designs using CAD, card models, sketches or hard prototypes
- Use software packages such as AutoCAD, Woodwork for Inventor, SOLIDWORKS, Fusion and Photoshop
- Prepare detailed final designs and have a VERY high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Liaise with craftsmen or production department staff (our Kreators - such as production managers, marketing staff and design engineers) about the process of construction and manufacture.
- Evaluate issues such as pricing and fixing costs, fashion, purchasing, safety, materials and manufacturing methods and techniques
- Use various tools to complete projects from raw materials to finished furniture items
- Organize plans and schedules with respect to the availability of resources
- Attend workshops, seminars and training on various types of manufacturing and furniture design

**Requirements to apply**:
We are looking for a young furniture designer with a relevant Bachelors or higher degree in Product design/ industrial design or Interior design.

Higher preference if you have a background in:

- Furniture design
- Furniture design and making
- Product and furniture design
