The Accountant - Corporate (Temporary) is responsible for managing payable, bank reconciliation, accounting and closing for the Aldar Academies entity.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Responsibilities

Timely and accurate closing of books of accounts.
Maintain accurate P&L and Balance sheet accounts.
Support Assistant Finance Manager, Operated Schools with required data and analysis for Operated Schools.
Timely payments to suppliers & ensure clean vendor accounts with proper reconciliation before payments.
Ensure DOA compliance for all GL Transactions.
Ensure cash and bank accounts are fully reconciled.

Functional Responsibilities

Manage day to day finance operations of Operated Schools.
Handling supplier payments accurately and timely manner with proper vendor reconciliation.
Ensure all transactions are made and accounted as per company policies and DOA.
Create assets to the relevant asset class, run depreciation and maintain fixed asset register fully reconciled with GL accounts.
Prepare journal entries, review with Assistant Manager, Operated Schools and post in ERP. All estimates and accruals must be approved by Senior Finance Manager before initiating the transaction.
Close the books of accounts as per group timeline post appropriate review with AFM.
Preparation of monthly MIS along with variance analysis for Operated schools.
Prepare Balance sheet schedules for Aldar Academies and ensure to maintain accurate GL balances.
Review balance sheet accounts periodically with Asst. Finance Manager, list out key action plans with responsibility and timeline to improve the quality of GL balances.
Handle internal and external audit queries, provide supporting documents and resolve all audit queries within the timeline.
Prepare adhoc reports as and when required to support business requirements for Operated Schools.
Initiate process improvement wherever possible to achieve finance excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

Minimum Experience

5+ Years’ experience in finance function.

Job Specific Knowledge & Skills
