Ammonia Manager

**About this role**
- Always demonstrate high level of Safety leadership through the mobilization of people around safety challenges and influencing the right behavior to achieve safety in operations;
- Demonstrate a strong ability to lead and motivate individual employees towards achieving and surpassing team goals;
- Monitoring plant operating parameters through routine checks of operating key parameters, and consumables (raw materials and chemicals) and receiving feedback from the shift leaders and ammonia assistant Manager;
- Monitoring chemicals availability through keeping record of the monthly chemicals report, communications with chemicals suppliers and coordinate with warehouse personnel to insure safe strategically inventory of chemicals available;
- Managing and supervising the daily operation activities according to the work specification and scope. Including the supervision of the new trainees to make sure that Safety rules and regulations is in place;
- Attending meetings concerning the productivity/MOC/maintenance/coordination that is directly connected to the plant or personnel. Coordination with other departments according to plant demands. Prioritization of maintenance activities during short shutdown and turnarounds;
- Requesting the required training courses to upgrade the plants staff and all administrative works that impact all the shifts manpower and their performance;
- Monitoring (Operating parameters/ condition of the plant and Major equipment/equipment failure operating hours and time out) through daily and monthly reports, which gives a complete picture about the plant performance, and provides a documented history of the plant;
- Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards;
- Participate in RCA and HAZOP meetings as required;
- Track ammonia loading schedule and inventory to perform a balance between the plant production, ammonia stock quantity. This will ensure a good and safe planning for ammonia operation;
- Liaise with Maintenance Manager and planner in planning, scheduling and follow up of all the various maintenance activities;
- Develop start up and shutdown schedule through good planning of preparation works and coordination with the other ammonia plant to provide necessary utilities which safely speed up the operation and production of the plant. The ammonia operating manual procedure, standard operating procedures (SOP) and by experience extracted from various startups and shutdowns that were done before are always the guide;
- Ensure of updating SOPs and other operational documents and keep staff well trained on latest procedures;
- Monitor the equipment performance with technical department. This will keep the plant running safely and it will pinpoint problems during early phases;
- Conduct safety audits that all the work processes are conducted safely and as per HSE procedures. Regular checks and site visits are done to ensure that all personnel are complying the safety requirements;
- Ensure 100 % compliance to all company safety standards and implement a world class safety standard;
- Ensure that all process safety risks are properly assessed and mitigated;
- Maintain computerized records of all important operating parameters/condition of the plant and major equipment.

**What you need to bring**
- Minimum of 15 years experience in Fertilizer, petrochemical, refining complex with at least 10 years in a Managerial position;
- Strong knowledge of Uhde process is an asset;
- BS in Chemical/Mechanical/Technical Engineering. Chemical is preferred;
- Ability to interact with team members and meet strict production plans;
- Strong knowledge of Uhde and Stam carbon processes is an asset;
- Strong adherence and knowledge of industry safety standards. Active participation in ongoing development of safety improvement plans and training of staff.;
- Proven ability to function within a project team, prioritizing/delegating work, driving productivity, setting the right expectation, and proactively overcoming obstacles in a complex project;
- Ongoing ability to drive a creative problem-solving culture that can promptly adjust to challenging situations;
- Patience and positive attitude maintained when interacting with managers, co-workers, staff, production employees, contractors, suppliers, customers, and community organizations;
- Earn and keep the trust and respect of individuals at all levels, by building strong relationships that focus on supporting our mission and values;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, TEAMS, PowerPoint);
