Customs Broker

**JOB PURPOSE**:
Responsible for processing of customs clearing for air, sea, road import & export shipments through compliance with local and customs regulations.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Ensure that all air, land and ocean import & export shipments clearance and delivery are completed in a timely manner.
- Oversee the preparation of the Customs import and export documentation.
- Ensure harmonized tariff research, binding rulings, protests, duty rates, and valuation on import shipments into the UAE are processed timely and efficiently in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Review and ensure import performance and transit time analysis reports are distributed appropriately internally.
- Ensure critical and accurate data is supplied to supply chain.
- Process and manage the flow of essential import documentation including Letters of Credit, commercial invoices and associated certificates, Country of Origin requirements, and communication and notifications to clients and vendors.
- Establish recordkeeping standards and oversee file maintenance in accordance with UAE Customs regulations and company policies.
- Ensure high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Performs related activities as instructed by the Commercial Manager.

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**:

- BS Degree in Business Administration or related course
- Minimum of 2-3 Years’ UAE Experience working as Customs Broker
- Extended (export/import) customs procedure knowledge is necessary.

**COMPETENCIES**:

- Knowledge of International Export/Import Trade Documentation requirements Inco Terms, L/C Documentation
- Well versed in Online Customs Documentation / Clearances through E-MIRSAL.
- Knowledge of Free zone, GCC Countries, and cross-stuffing Documentation.
- Communication & Negotiation Skills
- Abu Dhabi and Dubai Customs Clearance Process

**Salary**: AED5,000.00 - AED5,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
