**Responsibilities**:

- **Post-Contract Cost Management**:

- Monitor and control MEP project costs, ensuring alignment with the approved budget and contract terms.
- Evaluate and manage variations, claims, and changes specific to MEP systems, providing accurate cost assessments and recommendations.
- Prepare and submit detailed cost reports, including forecasts of final costs and cash flow projections for MEP works.
- **Measurement & Valuation**:

- Carry out precise measurements of MEP installations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Ensure that all measurements and valuations adhere to relevant standards and project specifications.
- **Contract Administration**:

- Administer post-contract activities for MEP projects in accordance with the contract terms, including FIDIC, JCT, or other relevant forms.
- Manage and document MEP-specific change orders, ensuring proper evaluation and agreement with the client or contractor.
- Provide expert advice on MEP contractual issues, including delays, extensions of time, and cost claims.
- **Claims & Dispute Resolution**:

- Analyze MEP contractor claims, including those related to time, cost, and quality, providing recommendations for resolution or negotiation.
- Prepare and manage documentation for MEP-related claims, ensuring thorough analysis and accurate representation of cost implications.
- Assist in resolving disputes concerning MEP works, ensuring outcomes are fair and aligned with contractual obligations.
- **Subcontractor Management**:

- Evaluate and manage accounts of MEP subcontractors, ensuring payments reflect the progress and quality of work completed.
- Assess and negotiate MEP subcontractor variations, ensuring accurate final accounts.
- Maintain strong working relationships with MEP subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and prompt resolution of issues.
- **Risk Management**:

- Identify and manage risks specific to MEP works, proposing mitigation strategies to safeguard project timelines and budgets.
- Monitor potential financial risks throughout the MEP project lifecycle, ensuring proactive management and reporting.
- **Cost Reporting & Forecasting**:

- Prepare regular cost reports focusing on MEP works, highlighting budget deviations and recommending corrective actions.
- Provide accurate cost forecasts for MEP projects, including projections for final account settlements.
- **Compliance & Documentation**:

- Ensure all MEP-related post-contract activities comply with UAE regulations, contractual obligations, and industry best practices.
- Maintain comprehensive records of financial transactions, contractual communications, and technical documentation related to MEP works.
- Prepare and submit final accounts for MEP projects, ensuring all financial matters are resolved before project closeout.
- **Client & Stakeholder Communication**:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for all MEP post-contract quantity surveying matters, providing regular updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication between the MEP project team, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution and resolution of issues.

**Preferences and Conditions**

**Requirement**: Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering with 02-05 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on post-contract activities in the MEP sector within the UAE. Strong understanding of MEP systems, installations, and their specific cost management requirements. Familiarity with UAE construction regulations, MEP standards, and contract forms (e.g., FIDIC, JCT).Proficient in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, CCS Candy) and MS Office Suite.
