**Front Desk Management**:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly as they enter the medical center.
- Answer phone calls professionally, providing relevant information or directing calls to the appropriate department.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring efficient handling of appointments and inquiries.
- **Appointment Scheduling**:
- Schedule patient appointments using the medical center’s system, ensuring proper coordination between physicians and available time slots.
- Handle appointment confirmations, cancellations, and rescheduling requests.
- Maintain an organized calendar of patient appointments.
- **Patient Registration and Documentation**:
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history.
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Maintain patient records, both physical and digital, according to the medical center’s guidelines.
- **Insurance and Billing Support**:
- Assist with the verification of patients' insurance coverage and processing of insurance claims.
- Collect payments, issue receipts, and handle any billing inquiries from patients.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions related to patient care.
- **Coordination with Medical Staff**:
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals to ensure timely and efficient patient care.
- Relay patient inquiries and concerns to the appropriate staff.
- Help organize medical files and reports for easy access by the medical team.
- **Customer Service**:
- Provide high-quality customer service by addressing patient queries and concerns.
- Handle patient feedback, complaints, or suggestions in a professional manner.
- Assist patients with understanding healthcare services and processes at the center.
- **Administrative Support**:
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and medical forms.
- Assist in various other administrative tasks as required by the management.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent. A diploma in administration or healthcare management is preferred.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical practice management software (e.g., EPIC, Cerner).
- **Language Skills**: Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- **Customer Service Skills**: Ability to interact with patients in a friendly, compassionate, and professional manner.
- **Organizational Skills**: Strong ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
- **Attention to Detail**: Ensuring accuracy in patient data and records.
**Work Hours**:
- Full-time, typically 8 hours a day, with possible shifts depending on the medical center’s operating hours.
- Flexibility for weekend or holiday work may be required.
**Salary**:
- The salary for a medical receptionist in the UAE can vary depending on the size of the medical center, location, and experience but generally ranges between AED 3,000 to AED 4,000 per month.
This role is critical in ensuring a positive experience for patients while providing crucial administrative support to the medical center.
