**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
Assist the veterinary team in conducting physical examinations, treatments, and procedures on racing camels.

Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all equipment and tools are sterilized and readily available.

Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of the veterinarian.

Monitor the health and behavior of camels, reporting any abnormalities or changes to the veterinarian.

Handle and restrain camels during examinations and treatments to ensure the safety of both animals and staff.

Assist with diagnostic procedures such as blood draws, X-rays, and ultrasound examinations.

Provide post-procedure care, including wound care, bandaging, and monitoring recovery.

Maintain detailed medical records and ensure accurate documentation of all treatments and procedures.

Support in implementing nutrition and exercise plans tailored to each camel’s needs.

Collaborate with trainers, handlers, and other station staff to ensure comprehensive care and training plans are followed.

Participate in the development of preventive care programs, including vaccination, deworming, and health screenings.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all veterinary facilities and stalls.

Control the medicine usage and its inventory.

Participate in routine health checks and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

**Qualifications**:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in animal science or veterinary medicine is preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a veterinary assistant, preferably with camels.

Experience working with camels or in a racing or performance setting is a strong advantage.

Ability to handle the camels safely and effectively.

Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and common diseases affecting camels.

Proficiency in administering medications, treatments, and conducting basic diagnostic procedures.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

Physical stamina to lift, carry, and restrain large animals as needed.

**Working Conditions**:
The position may require working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed during racing season or emergencies.

Some travel may be required for racing events or camel transfers.
