As part of our strategy to continue to grow and provide our services internationally, an opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious Computing Teacher to join our school, with the ability to teach up to and including Key Stage 5. You will be joining our new APAC team of teachers.

Our teachers work from home to deliver live lessons via our online classrooms where students are encouraged to participate and join in with activities and if you are interested in joining us to improve the lives of our students, we would love to hear from you

Main Responsibilities

The Computing Leader of Learning will work as a teacher in the Computing team with other Leaders of Learning under the direction of and reporting to the Head of Subject and Head of APAC. Sharing ideas and best practice approaches are key factors in the online environment.

Working Hours - Up to 37.5 hours per week
- Live Teaching time from Monday to Friday
- The working day for our Leaders of Learning’s on the APAC timetable is to start at 5.10am GST and finish at 1.30pm GST. On some days it may be later according to timetables.
- Be up to date on current research and emerging pedagogy and disseminate this to staff through active engagement in professional development with the learning community
- Support the self-evaluation of the school’s effectiveness and the development of priorities for improvement
- Assist in maintaining and developing a high-quality school environment and profile and act as a role model by their professional conduct and disposition
- Promote the general progress and well-being of individual students and any class or group of students
- Provide guidance and advice to students on educational matters
- Provide or contribute to assessments, reports and references relating to students in a timely manner
- Participate in meetings and staff CPD opportunities
- Be committed to our Co-curricular offer.
- Undertake any other work as specified by their line manager

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**

**Skills and attributes - Essential**
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Knowledge of the correct Safeguarding procedure
- Knowledge of the education sector in a teaching profession or above
- Ability to work well in teams
- Change and business improvement-focused
- Able to work effectively in dynamic and changing environments
- Experience of working in the primary, secondary or college sector
- Experience of working in state or independent school sector
- Experience with creating resources and the ability to review and enhance our current course delivery

**Skills and attributes - Desirable**
- Current or previous experience in a pastoral role.

- The ability to work well within a team, while having the courage to raise new ideas and support the implementation within the department, with the Leaders of Learning.
- A keen interest within the online teaching and learning environment, with a passion for the learning and development of students.

- Considerable interpersonal communication skills with the ability to form good relationships both internally and externally.
- The ability to work independently where necessary but in a collaborative team environment where appropriate.
- An ambition to place King’s Interhigh offering at the forefront of the marketplace.
