A lovely opportunity has come up in Abu Dhabi with a super family who are very highly recommended by their Maternity nurse whom Eden placed.

You will be looking after their wonderful 3 year old son who is bright and curious with a lovely generous ‘ old soul’ personality
- he is a delight He is in a good routine and the family are keen to build on this. The plan is to home school him so you will need to have experience in this. He has various tutors who support his learning as well.

The role is purely childcare and looking after him. We are looking for a nanny who is fun, warm and friendly, with a good sense of humour, loves working with children, who is passionate about supporting their learning and development to help him hit his developmental milestones.

Flexibility is a key part of the role in particular with the working days and hours and travel as the family’s schedule is very fluid however they are extremely respectful and are keen to build a relationship with the nanny or the long term ( at least 2 years). Communication is also vital and they are looking for someone who is very organised and proactive as well as discreet and conscious of cultural sensitivities, able to work collaboratively with the parents. They have a firm but fair approach to discipline.

You will be needed to travel with the family ( generally a few weeks at a time).

Accommodation: Own room and bathroom and access to kitchen - room cleaning once a day, laundry, all meals provided for based off of the daily menu otherwise you are welcome to the kitchen to make something

General duties:

- All childcare duties
- Planning age-appropriate activities that stimulate their development at home and when travelling.
- Home-schooling - he has tutors in Arabic, and Sports/Swimming but you should be confident to cover his general education and curriculum.
- Travelling with the family
- packing and unpacking and keeping him entertained.
- Menu co-ordination with the Chef, very occasionally to cook /re-heat simple meals for the child.
- Keeping the childs room tidy ( It is cleaned 2x per day)
- Pet friendly - the family have 3 friendly dogs
- Montessori experience/ education background ideal but not essential
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Excellent English skills to help with speech and homework.
- Experience with children of similar age
- Someone active who can keep up with an active small child
- A friendly and relaxed person will fit in well with their family
- Team player ( It is a fully staffed household)
- Discreet and with awareness of cultural sensitivities.
- A calm and quiet personality who is organised and takes pride in your work.
- Firm but fun and a good role model for the child.
- Happy to travel
- Happy to be flexible around the families schedule
