What You Will Contribute:

- The Regional Sales Manager for Badger Meter will be responsible for identifying and securing business across all areas of the Middle East related to C&I (commercial & Industrial - 70%) & Utility water (30%) with prime focus on Saudi Arabia, and act as country manager for Egypt & Levant countries.- Saudi: 70%
- UAE: 20%
- Egypt & Levant: 10%
- Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop existing Key Accounts, channel partners and develop new partnerships to meet the regional and project demands on a continuous basis.
- Positioning the entire Badger Meter portfolio (Flow, utilities, leak detection and Water Quality).
- Opportunity creator based on understanding customers needs and Badger meters product and solutions
- Building a strong channel network across the assigned region aligned with company strategy.
- Managing the end user vendor list approvals (if required) utilizing existing or new channels.
- Be the technical and commercial person in charge, on behalf of Badger Meter, of select number of high-level opportunities within the Middle East region (solution based selling).
- Increase brand awareness by development of an adequate communication program in collaboration with the company’s central marketing.
- Build, develop and retain relationships with our customers and prospects at all levels.
- Developing the water quality business across the Middle East by building a proper base & funnel.
- Accurately report all future opportunities, technologies and trends in the region to the Badger Meter management team and act as the key interface between the customers and all relevant divisions within Badger Meter.
- Organize and participate in relevant marketing/networking events as well as planning and recommending marketing, advertising and sales promotion activities.
- Grow the business in a manner consistent with the vision and aspiration of Badger Meter.
- Identify and engage with the acquisition process and build a pipeline funnel of diversified opportunities
- Develop strong internal relationships to support marketing, product development, finance, and the extended sales organization.
- Provide sound business cases for any new opportunities.
- Identify and develop strategies for revenue growth in territory and accurately forecast cross-sell, up-sell, and organic revenue growth.
- Analyze strategic markets and drive use of product, support, sales force automation, funnel management and prospecting tools to provide strong analytics.
- Development and implementation of adequate market penetration concepts and strategies
- Preparation of the yearly budget with responsibility for the target figures (market penetration, turnover and profitability).
- Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable Badger Meter policies and procedures.
- Provide effective decision-making and problem-solving to ensure successful product line business performance, including profitability and sales targets.
- Develop short and long terms business plans for business / product lines consistent with market needs and corporate strategic plans.
- Assure that sales activities are aligned with corporate objectives.
- Assure the accuracy and reliability of data in Badger Meter’s CRM system.
- After product launch, provide support as needed to grow sales of new product.
- Provide data on Badger Meter sales and competitor information to identify competitive trends and develop appropriate actions in response to such trends.
- Qualifications:
- 10 to 15 years’ sales experience within the middle east region within similar market or product range.
- Track record in business development within similar market from ground zero.
- Experience in instrumentation / automation industry focusing on flow meters, water quality measurement, valves.
- Think critically and objectively; with excellent problem solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions based on business demands.
- Strong affinity towards B2B sales and proven track record in the water industry.
- Experience managing channel partners across the region in similar industry.
- Highly entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- Great relationship skills and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Detail-oriented with great managerial, technical and organizational skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to travel where required.
- Native Arabic Speaker is preferred.
