Job Overview:
As a Power BI Consultant or Data Visualization Specialist, you will be responsible for transforming complex data sets into meaningful insights and visually appealing dashboards. Your role will involve collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and data teams to gather requirements, design effective data visualizations, and implement Power BI solutions that drive informed business decisions. You will be a crucial bridge between technical expertise and business understanding, ensuring that data is presented in a way that is easily understandable and actionable.

Key Responsibilities:
Designed Power BI data visualization utilizing cross tabs, maps, scatter plots, pie, bar and density charts.

Analyze business requirements into technical requirements for reporting/visualizations, data models, and databases. Review technical specifications derived from technical requirements.

Create and review/approve technical design documents and specifications on change requests and assignments within a project while maintaining documentation and abstracts in conformance with standards.

Develop reporting for business consumption using a variety of BI tools.

Provide detailed source analysis and data mappings/transformations to BI developers to implement new data sources and integrations.

Configure BI systems to deliver BI solutions. Devise and deliver testing plans and testing data to validate BI solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven 5+ years of experience in data visualization, dashboard design, and development using Power BI.
- Strong understanding of data analysis concepts and techniques.
- Proficiency in data transformation, cleaning, and modeling.
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices and principles.
- Experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable terms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Prior experience in consulting or client-facing roles is a plus.
- Certifications in Power BI or data visualization are advantageous.
