Supporting Learning: Assist the student with understanding and completing assignments, tasks, and activities in the classroom. This may involve adapting materials or providing additional explanations to accommodate the student's learning style or needs.

Behavior Management: Help the student manage their behavior in the classroom by providing guidance, reinforcement, and redirection as necessary. This may involve implementing strategies outlined in the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) or behavior plan.

Personal Care: Depending on the student's needs, a shadow teacher may assist with personal care tasks such as feeding, toileting, and mobility.

Communication: Serve as a liaison between the student, teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the student's education. This may include providing progress updates, sharing concerns, and collaborating on strategies to support the student's success.

Accommodations and Modifications: Implement accommodations and modifications outlined in the student's IEP or 504 plan to ensure access to the curriculum and equal opportunities for learning.

Data Collection: Collect data on the student's progress, behavior, and participation to inform instructional planning and decision-making.

Collaboration: Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting the student's learning and inclusion in the classroom.

Professional Development: Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to supporting students with special needs.

Overall, a shadow teacher plays a crucial role in supporting the educational and social-emotional development of students with special needs, helping them to fully participate in the classroom and reach their potential.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
