Job Title: Storekeeper (Construction Company)

Position Overview:
The Storekeeper in the construction industry plays a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the flow of materials, tools, and equipment within the construction site. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate inventory records. The storekeeper ensures that construction activities proceed smoothly by effectively managing the supply chain and ensuring timely availability of materials and equipment as per project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Inventory Management**:

- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials, tools, and equipment.
- Regularly conduct inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with records and identify discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and anticipate upcoming project needs to avoid shortages and delays.
- Ensure that materials are stored safely and securely to prevent damage or loss.

2. **Material Procurement and Receiving**:

- Coordinate with procurement teams to order materials and supplies as per project specifications and timelines.
- Receive deliveries from vendors, inspect materials for quality and quantity, and verify against purchase orders.
- Document receipt of materials, check for damages, and coordinate with suppliers to resolve any issues or discrepancies.

3. **Issuance and Distribution**:

- Fulfill requests for materials and tools from construction teams according to approved requisitions.
- Prepare and package materials for distribution, ensuring accuracy and completeness of orders.
- Maintain records of materials issued to different departments or contractors and track their usage.

4. **Equipment Management**:

- Keep track of construction equipment and machinery, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections.
- Coordinate with equipment operators and maintenance staff to ensure timely servicing and repairs.
- Monitor equipment usage to optimize efficiency and prevent downtime.

5. **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, material usage, and equipment status for project management.

- Maintain organized filing systems for invoices, delivery receipts, and other relevant documents.

6. **Compliance and Safety**:

Qualifications and Skills:
