**Responsibilities**:

- Identify and establish educational and research programs with institutions in EMEA, with particular focus to Middle East and Africa.
- Presentation and discussion of Varian roadmap to strategic clinical partners, with specific but not exclusive focus on Middle East and Africa.
- Lead specific initiatives and discussions around radiotherapy education programs with key opinion leaders and leading institutions, with specific but not exclusive focus on Middle East and Africa.
- Work with senior leadership to orient and foster clinical physics and applied radiation oncology innovation, with specific but not exclusive focus on Middle East and Africa.
- Partner with others as member of ad-hoc steering or advisory groups as a clinical knowledge interface with external and internal teams.
- Work with Product Management Leadership supporting the definition of the clinical and technical needs of new strategic initiatives, Middle East and Africa.
- Maintain current knowledge of the state of practice and research in one or more therapeutic domains important for Varian’s business objectives
- Execution of certain educational programs with internal and external stakeholders.
- Design, plan and implement overall direction of clinical trials/research and data collection activities. Evaluate and analyze scientific methods for design and implementation of clinical protocols, data collection systems and final reports.
- Responsible for medical affairs activities consisting of data generation, data analysis and interpretation. Full knowledge in study design and costs.
- Develop evidence generation strategy and execution of phases III-1V, including interventional and observational research.
- Maintain a high level of professional expertise through familiarity in adverse event reporting and safety responsibilities.

**Qualifications**:

- MD with 8+ years of professional experience is required with experience in radiation oncology
- Ability to work effectively with senior leadership on strategic initiatives
- Demonstrated understanding of the processes around translating research to product
- Existing relationships with KOLs in radiation oncology
- Experience in both academic settings and clinical practice
