Conduct assessments, in accordance with regulatory and/or internal enterprise requirements, to provide the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) and Nawah Senior Leadership an independent perspective of the operational performance of Nawah's programs, processes and procedures. Support and guide the governance and oversight area in conducting performance assessments to recommend ways to improve the performance of the organization based on the findings of the assessment(s).

Operations Performance & Functional Assessments
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Conduct plant walkdowns of work being performed at Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) to ensure alignment with procedures and regulations.
- Create observation reports and provide feedback to Nawah Functional Owners and Senior Leadership on areas of concern with regard to operational performance and recommend with the help of internal and external functional experts, timely and technically sound corrective actions to ensure performance improvement.
- Conduct performance assessments, at the direction of Senior Leadership, to ensure corrective actions have been closed with quality and they will not persist during operations.
- Provide input as requested by CFAMs in support of the Nawah and ENEC Chief Nuclear Officer's Organization functional assessments to ensure an efficient and effective assessment to identify performance issues.
Nuclear Oversight Governance
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Provide input to establishing or updating Nawah or ENEC Nuclear Oversight best practices and support development of standardized policies, programs and processes to enhance organizational effectiveness.
Stakeholder Management
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Confer with utility peers, industry advisory groups, and UAE regulatory agencies to maintain cooperative relationships and information exchange, focused on performance improvement.
- Communicate with external organizations, including World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO), Institute of Nuclear Operations (INPO), International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI), Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), and Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR), to obtain insights on issues that may impact BNPP, to assess whether NOS has missed identifying any issues and to get feedback on NOS performance.
The incumbent is expected to perform standard activities as per attachments 4 & 5 in the Job Description procedure (relating to Health, Safety and Environment, Security and Business Continuity, People Management, Excellence and Quality Management

- United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (USNRC) Senior Reactor Operator License or certification or equivalent.
- Qualifications
Minimum
- Bachelor of Science Degree.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
Or equivalent as stated in the Job Description Procedure (HR-PRC-0004).
Preferred
- Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical discipline or a Masters degree with emphasis in organizational excellence.
- 7 years of experience, out of which:
- 4 years "Function Specific" (operations, maintenance, engineering, etc.) experience.
- Experience working with nuclear power international organizations and advisory groups.
