We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Science Manager to join our Analytics team at Almosafer. The Data Science Manager will play a critical role in driving business growth and operational efficiency by developing and delivering innovative ML solutions across all business units. If you are passionate about Data Science and interested in this key strategic role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with our Business and Tech teams to shape our Data Science operating model and using your expertise to develop and manage recommendation engines, predictive models, business-logic automation, and machine learning solutions. Working across some of the Middle East's biggest travel and leisure platforms, you will ensure that technical efforts are aligned with the wider objectives of the organization, delivering meaningful solutions for both our business and our customers.

**Responsibilities**
- As a Data Science Manager, you will report to our Head of Data Intelligence and play a pivotal role in re-defining our Data Science operations, managing data science projects, and overseeing their implementation.
- You will work closely with stakeholders to explore our databases, identify opportunities for product and process optimization, and use models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action.
- You will leverage a variety of data mining and analysis methods, utilizing different data tools, building, and implementing models, creating algorithms, and running simulations.
- In collaboration with our Data Engineering colleagues, you will evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques. You will coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes and develop processes and tools to analyze model performance and data accuracy.
- Overall, you will be instrumental in driving business growth and operational efficiency through the development and delivery of innovative data science solutions and their implementation with the product teams.

**Requirements**:

- We’re looking for someone with 5+ years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models, has a relevant bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Analytics, or another quantitative field.
- Strong knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
- High proficiency and demonstrated experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc) to manipulate data and draw insights from large datasets.
- Hands-on experience reviewing machine learning code and models to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. They will have experience developing and maintaining code repositories and version control systems, as well as reviewing code and models for security and compliance.
- Experience managing and leading a team of data scientists. They will be responsible for mentoring and coaching team members, providing feedback on performance, and helping to define and manage career paths.
- Experience with ML Ops, including developing and implementing machine learning workflows, pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience using web services such as Amazon Athena, Amazon S3, Hive, Google BigQuery, etc.
- Proven ability to drive business results with your data-based insights and be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams.
