Reports To: Project Manager

Job Purpose: The Safety Officer is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all employees and contractors working on the project.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures to meet regulatory and company requirements
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and investigations to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Provide safety training and education to employees and contractors
- Monitor and report on safety performance, including incident rates and near-misses
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate and participate in emergency response planning and drills
- Communicate safety information and updates to employees and contractors
- Maintain accurate records of safety training and incidents

Qualifications:

- IOSH certification
- Osha certification
- NEBOSH certification
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a safety role in infrastructure& roads
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
