Aldar Education are currently seeking an outstanding **Primary Class Teacher** for Al Mamoura Academy in Abu Dhabi commencing next academic year 2023-2024.

Al Mamoura Academy is a British curriculum, mixed gender primary school and a girl’s only secondary school located in a state of the art building in the heart of Abu Dhabi. **B. Teaching and learning**:

- To be able to teach all areas of the Primary National Curriculum.
- Organising the classroom, learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment and support the development of the Al Mamoura USP in this area.
- Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class.
- Providing support and interventions for students with EAL or who have additional learning needs.
- Motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation.
- Marking children’s work in line with the Al Mamoura Academy Marking and Feedback policy.
- Being reflective of lessons taught and student progress made and adjusting planning and curriculum to reflect this.
- Meeting with other professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists, if required.
- Ensuring that the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attributes are being embedded throughout the curriculum.
- Contribute to the development of teaching and learning across the school by sharing best practice, participating in school CPD and T&L initiatives.
- To be able to demonstrate effective use of technology through innovative and creative lesson delivery.

**C. Assessment and data**:

- Taking responsibility for the attainment and progress of a class of primary-age pupils to ensure that they reach above expectations.
- Meeting the requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development using Target Tracker.
- Using data provided by assessments to influence further planning and interventions.
- Providing regular feedback to parents and carers on a student’s progress at Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.
- To plan, prepare and contribute to termly Pupil Progress meetings.

**D. Behaviour management and duties**:

- To follow the Al Mamoura Academy behaviour management policy and promote the Mascot Manners to set high expectations.
- Manage classes effectively, using approaches which are appropriate to pupils’ needs in order to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
- Carry out playground and other duties in a punctual, interactive and proactive manner.
- Ensure that any concerns relating to behaviour & Safeguarding are accurately followed up on and logged on CPOMS.

**E. Wider professional responsibilities**
- Support with organising and taking part in school events, outings and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening.
- To run a weekly ECA each term to enhance the provision we offer for our students.

Minimum 2 years Teaching experience in English National Curriculum
