Rtg Crane Operpator

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Operation of RTG Cranes**:

- Safely operate RTG cranes to load, unload, and transport containers within the terminal yard.
- Utilize controls to maneuver the crane for precise positioning of containers.
- **Inspection and Maintenance**:

- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections to ensure the crane is in safe working condition.
- Perform minor maintenance and report any mechanical issues to maintenance personnel.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Participate in safety training sessions and drills as required.
- **Communication**:

- Coordinate with yard personnel and other crane operators via radio or hand signals to ensure efficient container movement.
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors regarding operational status and potential issues.
- **Record Keeping**:

- Document container movements and maintain accurate records of operations.
- Assist in tracking container inventory within the terminal.
- **Emergency Response**:

- Be prepared to respond to emergency situations, including crane malfunctions and environmental hazards, following established procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training is a plus.
- Experience operating RTG cranes or similar heavy machinery preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices in crane operations.
- Ability to read and interpret operational manuals and safety documents.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to work in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects as needed.

**Working Conditions**:

- Primarily outdoor work in a fast-paced environment.
- Exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
