Evaluate patients to formulate an adequate anesthetic plan.

Manage and administer anesthesia during surgical procedures.

Record patient medical history and anesthetic amounts.

Monitor, manage, and treat changes in patient functions during operations, including breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure.

Monitor conditions of patients before, during, and after anesthesia to look out for adverse reactions.

Coordinate and direct a team of nurses, medical technicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Order x-rays, laboratory tests, and other necessary diagnostic procedures.

Collaborate and communicate with other medical professionals to determine care plans and provide high-quality patient care.

Conduct research to make advancements in the field of anesthesiology.

Assist medical personnel in achieving adequate venous access for patient care

Be the primary physician on call for Code Blue on a rotational basis with other healthcare providers

Provide after-hours care to post-operative patients on a rotational basis with other healthcare providers

**Qualification**:
Doctor of Medicine degree with anesthesiology residency
Board certified in anesthesiology

**Experience & Competencies**:
5+ years of experience in an Anesthetist role.

Record type and amount of anesthesia and patient condition throughout procedure.

Provide and maintain life support and airway management and help prepare patients for emergency surgery.

Administer anesthetic or sedation during medical procedures, using local, intravenous, spinal, or caudal methods.

Examine patient, obtain medical history, and use diagnostic tests to determine risk during surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures.

Position patient on operating table to maximize patient comfort and surgical accessibility.

Coordinate administration of anesthetics with surgeons during operation.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan or provide treatment.

Manage anesthesiologist services, coordinating them with other medical activities and formulating plans and procedures.

Decide when patients have recovered or stabilized enough to be sent to another room or ward or to be sent home following outpatient surgery.

Monitor patient progress or responses to treatments.

Schedule and maintain use of surgical suite, including operating, wash-up, waiting rooms, and anesthetic and sterilizing equipment.
