**Job Description for BBQ Chef**

Position Title: BBQ Chef

Department: Kitchen

Job Summary:
The Grill and BBQ Chef is responsible for preparing, grilling, and presenting a variety of dishes, ensuring high-quality taste, texture, and presentation. The role requires expertise in grilling techniques, maintaining food safety standards, and creating a memorable dining experience for customers.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Food Preparation**:
Prepare and marinate meats, seafood, and vegetables for grilling.

Ensure all ingredients are fresh and meet quality standards.

Maintain consistency in taste and portion sizes.

**2. Cooking and Grilling**:
Operate grills, smokers, and other BBQ equipment efficiently.

Monitor food on the grill to prevent overcooking or undercooking.

Ensure dishes are cooked to customers' specifications.

**3. Quality Control**:
Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.

Regularly check the grill temperature and adjust as necessary.

Inspect finished products for quality before serving.

**4. Hygiene and Safety**:
Ensure all grilling and kitchen equipment is cleaned and sanitized.

Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations.

Safely handle and store ingredients to prevent contamination.

**5. Menu Development**:
Assist in developing new grill and BBQ dishes.

Suggest seasonal items or unique flavor combinations.

**6. Team Collaboration**:
Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.

Communicate effectively during busy periods to maintain service quality.

**7. Inventory and Supplies**:
Monitor inventory levels of grilling ingredients and tools.

Report shortages or order requirements to the Head Chef/Kitchen Manager.

**Qualifications and Skills**:
Proven experience as a Grill or BBQ Chef.

Expertise in grilling techniques, including smoking and flame-grilling.

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Physical stamina to work long hours in high-heat conditions.

**Education and Experience**:
Culinary certification or equivalent experience preferred.

Minimum three years of experience in grilling and BBQ techniques.

**Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)**:
Customer satisfaction with grilled and BBQ items.

Consistency in food quality and presentation.

Adherence to hygiene and safety protocols.

Efficiency in managing orders during peak hours.

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED1,800.00 per month
