*Job Summary:*

A Steel Fixer, also known as a Reinforcing Ironworker or Rebar Installer, is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing steel reinforcement bars (rebar) in concrete structures. This role involves interpreting construction plans, cutting and bending rebar, and securing it in place to enhance the strength and stability of concrete elements.

*Key Responsibilities:*

*Rebar Fabrication:*

1. Interpret construction plans and specifications to determine rebar dimensions, spacing, and placement.

2. Cut, bend, and shape steel reinforcement bars according to project requirements using rebar cutters, benders, and other tools.

*Assembly and Installation:*

1. Assemble and tie rebar grids, mats, or cages to form the required structural reinforcement.

2. Install rebar in concrete forms, ensuring proper alignment, spacing, and elevation as per design specifications.

*Concrete Pouring Support:*

1. Assist with the setup and preparation of concrete forms and molds for pouring.

2. Position and secure rebar within forms to create a framework for poured concrete.

*Quality Control:*

1. Inspect rebar materials for defects, damage, or discrepancies before installation.

2. Verify compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety standards.

*Safety Compliance:*

1. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines on construction sites.

2. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices to prevent accidents and injuries.

*Collaboration:*

1. Coordinate with other construction team members, including concrete workers, carpenters, and equipment operators, to complete projects.

2. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure project goals are met.

*Documentation:*

1. Maintain accurate records of rebar installation, including quantities, sizes, and locations.

2. Complete and submit work orders, inspection reports, and project documentation as required.

*Equipment Maintenance:*

1. Maintain and clean rebar tools and equipment, such as cutters, benders, and tying tools.

2. Ensure that tools are in good working condition and report any maintenance or repair needs.

*Qualifications:*
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Steel Fixer or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using rebar cutting, bending, and tying tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
- Physical fitness for lifting, carrying, and bending rebar materials.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in rebar fabrication and installation.

*Working Conditions:*
- Steel Fixers work outdoors and indoors on construction sites.
- The role may involve exposure to noise, dust, and hazardous materials.
- Work hours may vary based on project schedules and deadlines, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Pay: AED 900 - AED1,000.00 per month
