We are looking for an experienced
**Head of Middle School **for one of a reputable school located in
**Al Ain, Abu Dhabi.**

To qualify for this role, you should have
**at least 4 - 5 years of UAE experience as a Middle School Head.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the leadership and day-to-day management of the Middle School, working with Staff and the School Leadership Team in order to maximise the learning opportunities and welfare of the students in Years 6 to 8 both in and outside of the classroom.
- Play an active role in the identification, development and implementation of strategic goals as they relate to the Middle School.
- In line with the academic vision of the School, in consultation with the Director of Studies and the Coordinator, lead the academic performance of Middle School.
- Promulgate and promote key strategic objectives to staff, ensuring that there is understanding, engagement and participation within all levels of Middle School academic staff.
- Design and implement strategies to enhance transitions to and from the Middle School.
- Develop and maintain an excitement and passion for learning through the establishment of creative programs, involvement in School wide events, specific co-curricular clubs and tapping into the interests of the students.
- Oversee all day-to-day aspects of the Middle School and implement policies and appropriate intervention about student behaviour and attendance and other operational matters within the Middle School, including in areas such as Boarding and Pastoral Care. This includes liaising directly with parents.
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Middle School Boarding Heads of House to maintain standards and care across the day and boarding programs.
- Takes part in the enrolment process as requested by the Enrolments Registrar, particularly about meeting prospective Middle School families.
- Organises and attends school events such as assemblies, presentations, activities and school camps.
- Will guide, monitor and evaluate staff performance, recruitment, induction and professional development where relevant to the Middle School environment.
- Facilitate a positive and dynamic working environment for Middle School Staff by developing a team approach, ensuring open communication, transparent and effective decision-making and collaborative work practices.
- Liaising with the Director of Studies and other key staff, address and resolve matters of sub-par performance and conduct in accordance with School policies, Codes of Conduct, procedures and values.
- Other Act as an ambassador of the School by leading and being actively organising and being involved in key events for parents throughout the year, including Parent Teacher Interviews, Information Nights, Speech Day and other School events.

**Languages**:English, Arabic

**Experience**:4 - 5 years of UAE experience

**License**:ADEK, Teaching certificates

**Qualification**:Bachelors or
** **Masters in Primary and Secondary Education
