Perform inspection of incoming products, materials or customer items according to project ITP.
- Perform in-process inspection according to procedures, ITP and customer's specifications. Prepare and issue reports whenever necessary.
- Perform final inspection of items including dimensional, NDT and hardness to ensure that all quality requirements or API specifications have been achieved.
- Ensure workmanship confirms to required standards as per project specifications.
- Witness / supervise / review NDTs, instrumentation calibration, factory acceptance tests, etc.
- Maintain daily records to support documentation of welding activities.
- Monitor and witness the testing related to blasting/painting works.
- Liaise with client, PMT and subcontractor on activity pertaining to quality.
- Document all inspection activities on a daily basis.
- Responsible for tracking all materials used for piping/pipeline construction including joint numbers, joint lengths and heat numbers associated with all materials (pipe stock, fittings, etc.)
- Review Project Quality Assurance Plans, ITP and coordinate with Third Party Inspection agencies.
- Review and approve project QA/QC documents.
- Analyze inspection results and decide the acceptance level of the final product.
- Raise non-conformance reports and submit to Head-Operations.
- Interact with customers and attend to their needs.
- Prepare test procedure whenever needed.
- Prepare inspection reports/records and compile it as per final documentation requirements.
- Prepare related red line marking drawing.
- Assist in punch list and perform line walk during ITR endorsement.
- Participate in weekly Engineering and Projects Meetings when possible.
- Know and understand ASTRA QHSE Policy and comply all safety rules and company policies meeting all requirements of the IMS Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by Company.
- Carry out effective and timely inspection on assigned projects.
- Ensure understanding of the project specification.
- Ensure that changes on project specification as approved by Clients through SQ/TQs and Concession Request are implemented, and latest Revision of ITP/Procedures are followed
- Exercise proactive approach on inspection and communicate remedial actions as necessary to production supervisors and other disciplines
- Ensure that required tests and inspection as required in the project specification are pefformed and verified in a timely manner.
- Ensure that defects discovered during inspection are properly and accurately communicated to respective production Supervisors with recommended remedial actions and such defects are rectified.
- Rejection or rework are recorded in the QC Log Book and deviation or non-conformances are reported in NCR as necessary.
- Generate and submit daily paint inspection reports in a timely manner (norma//y not less than 3 days of inspection completed).
- Perform periodic audits of paint store and usage of WFT gauge by painters.
- Ensure that all inspection instruments are in good working order with valid calibration.
- Coordinate with other discipline QC Inspectors, Production Engineers & PMTs, Clients Representative, Sub-Con Crew supervisor and Paint suppliers on technical issues.
- Conduct daily tool box talk with painting personnel.
- Report timely and accurately all quality issues to Senior Quality Inspector— Coating.
- Timely updating of inspection check lists and other documents with reference to the approved ITP.**Requirements**:

- Degree in Mechanic Engineering or Diploma with relevant experience.
- Must have the following certifications: AWS or CSWIP
- NDT Level II in RT (film interpretation), PT, MT, NACE and UT methods highly desirable; ICC Bolting certification is desirable
- At least 6 years of related experience in Oil and gas Industry.
- Must have a proven track record in Structural and Piping work
- Expert with international and local QAQC policies and regulations, and applicable laws.
- Fluent English, Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Attention to detail, management skills
- Team-oriented skills
- Self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution
