**Position Summary**:
**Responsibilities**
- Manage VAT Compliance: _Oversee and ensure compliance with VAT regulations in the UAE, including the timely and accurate filing of VAT returns.
- VAT Documentation:_ Prepare and maintain VAT-related documents, including invoices, records of transactions, and supporting documentation.
- Record-keeping:_ Maintain comprehensive and organized records of all VAT-related transactions and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
- VAT Reporting:_ Prepare and submit periodic VAT reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to local regulations and deadlines.
- VAT Reconciliation:_ Perform regular reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of VAT-related financial data.
- Liaise with Authorities:_ Coordinate and communicate effectively with relevant tax authorities or government bodies regarding VAT queries, audits, or inspections.
- Stay Updated: _Stay abreast of any changes or updates in VAT regulations in the UAE and ensure compliance with new requirements.
- Financial Analysis: _Assist in financial analysis by providing accurate VAT data and reports for management decision-making.
- Collaboration:_ Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, procurement, and legal, to ensure VAT compliance and resolve any related issues.
- Training and Support:_ Provide guidance and support to colleagues on VAT-related matters, ensuring awareness and understanding of VAT regulations and procedures.

**Requirements**:

- _Education:_ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are preferred.
- _Experience:_ A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience as an Accountant, with a focus on VAT filings and compliance within the UAE.
- _VAT Expertise:_ Strong knowledge and practical experience in UAE VAT regulations, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- _Attention to Detail:_ Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in recording and reporting financial data.
- _Analytical Skills: _Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve VAT-related issues effectively.
- _Communication Skills:_ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.
- _Time Management: _Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
- _Team Player:_ A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- _Ethics and Integrity: _High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data privacy.
