**AI and Digital Science Research Centre**

The Artificial Intelligence Cross-Center Unit is the machine learning powerhouse of TII, working in close collaboration with our other research centers to harness the full benefits of AI across our projects - and drive innovation from new computing paradigms, designing and delivering new AI methodologies, technologies, solutions, and systems that address challenging issues across multiple sectors of the economy - from technology to healthcare, cybersecurity, and government, among others.

We incorporate core elements of intelligence (perception, sensing, planning, and language) in the ideation, design, and prototyping of next-generation systems with human-like intelligence. We build advanced AI computing and scalable AI-based software stacks and hardware systems to deliver significant enhancements in systems infrastructure. Our AI researchers, scientists, and engineers collaborate to ensure innovative outcomes, from AI theory to AI technologies towards better intelligence.

The lead Project Manager oversees the project management process including governance, team leadership, tracking and monitoring, prioritization, communication. The Lead Project Manager should have a proven track record of successful project delivery, an ability to improve project management practices and substantial team leadership experience with a focus on team development. The goal of a Lead Project Manager is to manage the overall budget and ensure all programs are successfully delivered and add value to the TII Research Center.

**Skills Required**:
Governance
- Develop PMO team, supervises Project Managers and informs management on the performance and progress of AIDRC’s ongoing programs
- Develop and approve budgets as well as operations
- Communicate with HR Department, Finance department, Legal department, Procurement department and Marketing department
- Develop, implement, and govern program management processes, tools, templates, policies, and metrics
- Manage Partnership contracts with universities and vendors
- Manage RFP in soliciting bids to complete a new project
- Planning the programs throughout their life from conceptualization to completion including processes, milestones, and deadlines
- Keeping Chief Researcher informed of the status of programs using accurate and detailed reports/presentations

Team Leadership
- Coach and mentor project managers and share knowledge of best practices
- Establish the PMO organization structure, hire and manage project staffing requirements in line with project objectives
- Coordinate project deliverables with Project Managers, and support contractors in a direct and indirect reporting structure
- Set annual performance targets for direct reports and conduct performance reviews

Tracking and Monitoring
- Manage the risk, issue and change resolution process, and work with other leaders to take corrective action as needed
- Ensure contracts compliance and reporting to Chief Researcher

Prioritization
- Provide Chief researcher with the information needed to assess and decide which proposals have the highest potential value, impact, and strategic alignment
- Interface with Chief Researcher to define project priorities, implementation opportunities, challenges and communicate project risks and opportunities

**Qualifications Required**
- Master of Business Administration (MBA), or related field required
- Prior experience as a Lead Project Manager or Project Director
- 10 plus years of project management experience preferred
