**Job Summary**

The Wood Decor Factory Manager oversees all aspects of operations within the factory, focusing on custom wood decor and furniture production for weddings and special events. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, operational management, quality control, and resource efficiency to meet high standards in both production and client satisfaction. The Factory Manager will manage production teams, coordinate with suppliers and internal departments, ensure material availability, and lead initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste. They will serve as the primary point of contact for the executive team, providing regular reports and analyses on factory performance.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- **Strategic Planning and Operational Management**:

- Develop and implement strategic production plans to meet overall objectives, optimizing the production schedule to meet client demands and deadlines.
- Oversee all aspects of factory operations, ensuring an efficient and high-quality production process.
- **Budget and Financial Management**:

- Prepare and manage the factory’s comprehensive budget, monitor costs and revenues to meet financial goals.
- Submit detailed financial reports on production costs, profitability, and challenges to upper management.
- **Process Improvement and Efficiency Optimization**:

- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, increase productivity, and streamline resource utilization.
- Analyze production costs, identify areas for efficiency, and implement solutions to achieve cost savings and process sustainability.
- **Inventory and Raw Material Management**:

- Efficiently manage inventory to ensure a steady supply of essential materials, including wood, fabrics, and metals.
- Coordinate with procurement to maintain a consistent flow of quality materials as per production requirements.
- **Supplier and Partnership Management**:

- Build long-term supplier relationships and regularly evaluate their performance to meet quality and cost standards.
- Negotiate contracts and supply terms to support the factory’s operational efficiency and sustainability.
- **Human Resource Management and Team Development**:

- Supervise and allocate tasks across the production team, ensuring effective workflow and high productivity.
- Hire, train, and develop technical staff to ensure continuous skill development and team efficiency.
- **Quality Control and Assurance**:

- Maintain high-quality standards throughout the production cycle, conducting regular inspections and implementing necessary improvements.
- Generate periodic reports on quality standards and review any client feedback to identify areas for enhancement.
- **Cross-Departmental Coordination**:

- Collaborate with the design and sales teams to align production priorities with client requirements.
- Provide comprehensive reports to upper management on production output, quality, and operational efficiency.
- **Preventative Maintenance Planning and Equipment Management**:

- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and operational longevity.
- **Performance Reporting and Analysis**:

- Prepare comprehensive monthly and quarterly reports, including production metrics, quality, and operational costs.
- Offer insights and data analyses to support strategic decision-making and identify improvement trends.
- **Occupational Safety and Health Compliance**:

- Enforce the highest standards of safety and health, ensuring a secure working environment for all employees.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain workplace safety and implement preventive measures.
- **Daily Task Coordination and Indirect Oversight**:

- Monitor daily activities through production supervisors to ensure smooth operation and adherence to quality standards.

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Proven experience managing a factory or production facility, ideally within the wood decor or furniture manufacturing sector.
- Strong quality assurance skills with high attention to detail.
- Hands-on experience with woodworking tools and manufacturing techniques, including cutting, shaping, and assembly.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Comprehensive knowledge of workplace safety standards and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills for effective team motivation and development.
- Ability to train and foster technical skills within the team, focusing on efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Experience in inventory management and resource allocation.
- Expertise in analyzing production processes and performance metrics to identify efficiencies and minimize waste.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Carpentry, or a related field (preferred).
