We are seeking a skilled and experienced **Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Electrical Technician **to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in ground support equipment (GSE) used in aviation and transportation industries. Your expertise will ensure the safe and reliable operation of electrical equipment, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.
**In this role, you will**:
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in GSE equipment, including but not limited to aircraft tugs, baggage tractors, and ground power units.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to identify and resolve potential issues before they become critical.
- Diagnose electrical malfunctions, using appropriate testing equipment and techniques, and implement effective repair solutions.
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members to troubleshoot complex electrical problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including equipment conditions, maintenance schedules, and parts used.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while working with electrical systems, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices related to GSE electrical systems to enhance skills and knowledge.
**Qualifications & Experience: To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as an electrical technician, preferably in the aviation or transportation industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with GSE equipment and its electrical systems is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
