The first aider is responsible for providing immediate medical assistance to anyone who is injured or falls ill during the project.
The first aider's primary responsibilities include:
Responding to emergencies: The first aider must be able to quickly and effectively respond to any emergencies that occur on the site, such as injuries, falls, and accidents.
Assessing the situation: The first aider must assess the situation to determine the severity of the injury or illness and provide appropriate first aid treatment.
Monitoring the individual: The first aider must closely monitor the individual's condition and provide ongoing care until medical professionals arrive on the scene.
Reporting incidents: The first aider must accurately report any incidents that occur on the site to the appropriate personnel, such as the project manager or site supervisor.
In addition to these primary responsibilities, the first aider must also ensure that the first aid equipment and supplies are properly maintained and readily available in case of an emergency. They must also stay up-to-date on their training and certification to ensure that they are equipped to handle any situation that may arise. Overall, the first aider plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved in the fit-out project.
