**Responsibilities & Duties**
- Configuring network hardware like servers, routers and switches
- Manage security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems
- Assisting with the design of network models.
- Managing cloud and physical network storage.
- Monitored server reports and backup logs and enforced corrective action when necessary.
- Replaced major manufacturer's vulnerable network with robust security through joint architecture of firewall and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).
- Stabilized, expanded, and protected company network and PC environment.
- Configure, Monitor and manage the use of mailing system.
- Troubleshoot problems, configure hardware and software, implement back up processes and assess systems for upgrades or replacement and perform data recovery when needed.
- Review a company’s computer systems to ensure that all aspects are operating efficiently.
- Conduct consistent analyses of a company’s computer systems to determine if existing components meet the company’s need and perform upgrades or updates as needed.
- Install and manage security systems, conduct updates, create passwords and run check for viruses and spyware.
- Assess existing network serves, operating systems and security programs.
- Develop methods and tools to be used to test and implement new LAN/WAN equipment
- Upgrade existing hardware and software programs whenever required.
- Resolved problematic network failures by troubleshooting LAN/WAN connections.
- Worked with vendors and / or site contacts to correct hardware / software failures.
- Maintains computing environment by identifying network requirements; installing upgrades; monitoring network performance.
- Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
- Evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; establishing connections and firewalls.
- Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.
- Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Analyze the current network structure and submit quarterly comprehensive reports to management on how to make the network more efficient.
- Upgrade the network routinely by doing research into the latest programs and conferring with vendors to see what programs the company can get.
- Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot for printers,computer hardware and any other authorized peripheral equipment.
- Performs general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers and any other authorized peripheral equipment.
- Customize desktop hardware to meet user specifications and site standards.
- Returns defective equipment/parts to maintenance inventory, documents customer repairs, maintains and restocks assigned parts inventory to insure proper spare parts levels.
- Responsible for monitoring, operating, managing, troubleshooting and restoring to service any terminal service client, personal computers (PC) or notebooks that has authorized access to the network.
- Provides training to staff on new systems/access whenever required.
- Support and maintain MS Server/Desktops and MS 365.
- Ensuring security and upgrades are applied and kept up to date on desktops and laptops.
- Patching of network and phones. Completing internal user moves including phones, Printer, networkingetc.
- Ensuring all software purchased licensing is recorded and maintained.
- 365 server mailbox maintenance including archiving mailboxes.
- Troubleshooting network connectivity in a LAN/WAN environment.
- Interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment.
- Troubleshoot problems associated with network connectivity, and workstation hardware/software.
- Responsible for tracking network and hardware inventory.
- Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical issues within the desktop environment.
- Works with other IT team members regarding new branch builds and upgrades.
- Develop technical knowledge of each system within company profile and specialized knowledge of certain nominated areas.
- Stationary and remotely controlled motion IP CCTV camera installation.

**Academic & Trades Qualifications**

**Education Requirements**
B.sc degree in the field of computer science and/or 5 years equivalent work experience.
- Industry certifications, this can include CCNA, CompTIA Network+ Certification, A+, N+ and/or MCTS/MCITP will be added value.
