**Job Description: Accountant**

**Language preference

**Responsibilities**:

- **Month-End Closing**:

- Perform month-end closing activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
- Review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- **Profit and Loss Management**:

- Prepare and analyze profit and loss statements.
- Identify and investigate variances to budget and prior periods.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial performance.
- **Balance Sheet Preparation**:

- Prepare and maintain balance sheet schedules, account reconciliations, and other supporting schedules.
- Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and audit schedules.
- **Reporting Activities**:

- Generate financial reports and statements for management review.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
- Develop and maintain financial reporting systems to ensure efficient data retrieval and analysis.
- **Tally Proficiency**:

- Utilize Tally software for recording financial transactions and maintaining accounting records.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the Tally system.
- Train and support team members on the effective use of Tally.
- **Compliance and Audit**:

- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Tally software is a must.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Professional accounting certification (e.g., CA, CPA) is a plus.
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
- Knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with other accounting software and ERP systems.
