**Principal - Kings' School Al Barsha, Dubai, UAE**

Kings’ Education is currently seeking an outstanding and inspiring school Principal with a proven track record of successful school leadership to lead the growth and expansion of their flagship 3-18 campus, Kings’ School Al Barsha, from August 2023. This is a superb opportunity for a highly experienced, inspirational leader to join the Kings’ community, a forward thinking strategically connected group of schools, one of which being the only school in Dubai to be rated outstanding every year since inspections began. Working in Dubai is a fast-paced and rewarding experience, however, it is a demanding and rigorous working environment which requires committed and motivated professionals. As such, we seek a principal who is committed to all aspects of ongoing school improvement and can uphold the guiding principle ‘The Best by Every Child.’

**Responsibilities**
- Strategic direction and leadership of a prestigious 3-18 campus in the heart of Dubai
- Strategic direction and leadership of ongoing school improvement based on rigorous data informed self-evaluation
- Operational and financial efficiency and accountability for the school
- Provide inspiring and transformational leadership for all members of the school community
- Promote safe, secure, and inclusive learning environments for all stakeholders
- Promote the highest standards of student achievement and learning behaviours to ensure exceptional outcomes for all
- Monitor and evaluate all performance aspects of the school including the quality of teaching and learning
- Continue to develop a culture of high performance and high expectations, where all staff and students feel valued, respected, and empowered to perform at their best
- Positively promote the school, raising its profile both locally and internationally

**Essential Qualifications & Experience**:

- Qualified Teacher Status and a relevant first degree with teaching experience essential
- Master’s in Education / NPQH or similar level qualification essential
- A minimum of 12 years’ experience in education
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior leadership position
- Evidence of sustained personal, professional development in education leadership and management
- Evidence of maximising the potential of all students, including those with special educational needs and talents, creatively seeking high standards and achievement
- Desirable experience could include leading and managing a 3-18 school in the UK, Dubai or the UAE
- Commitment to encouraging the professional development of all staff, including delegation of responsibility where appropriate and possible
- Commitment to the central role of equality of opportunity both in employment practices and in the formulation and implementation of school policies, with regard to all young people, families and staff members
- Demonstrate a commitment to the Kings’ vision and values

**Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Thorough knowledge and understanding of child development, relevant legislation, curricular issues, and implications of curriculum changes in the English and UK Education system
- Knowledge and understanding of the English National Curriculum, principles of assessment and the effective use of data analysis to promote the educational and personal development of students
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and current educational developments in the UK and the UAE, with particular reference to Dubai
- An understanding of the skills needed to lead in a climate of constant change
- A thorough understanding of whole-school self-evaluation, with a particular reference to either Ofsted and/or the DSIB inspection framework
- Knowledge and understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion practices
- Experience in operational and financial efficiency and accountability
- Ability to foster a supportive, emotionally intelligent and caring environment for all stakeholders
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences
- Ability to balance priorities and resources effectively within time constraints
- Ability to develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with all stakeholders
- Ability to empower and positively influence those you work with, valuing the achievements of others
- Ability to understand and promote the UAE National Agenda
