**Overall Responsibility**:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of a shop or retail department, ensuring smooth functioning and achievement of sales targets.

**Key Duties**:

- **Team Management**:

- Lead, motivate, and train staff on proper work procedures, safety protocols, and customer service techniques.
- Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring proper staffing levels to meet customer demand.
- Training new employees on company policies, procedures, and work ethics
- Overseeing salespeople, cashiers, shelf stockers, and other employees.
- Conduct performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback to employees and resolving employee issues.
- Address employee concerns and conflicts effectively.
- Motivating employees to achieve targets.
- Conducts daily and weekly meetings with the staff and Manager to review activities, activities, and schedules.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Monitor stock levels and place orders for new merchandise based on demand and sales forecasts.
- Evaluating the supply and availability of stocks, and profit-margins.
- Receive and organize deliveries, ensuring accurate inventory records.
- Maintain product displays and present merchandise in a visually appealing and engaging manner.
- Implement measures to prevent stock loss, damage, shrinkage, theft, and wastage.
- **Finance/Accounting**:

- Reconciliation of Sales, Cash and Card Reports and performing daily closing,
- Preparing Expense Reports, Daily Reports etc.
- Working with the accounting/finance department to ensure compliance.
- **Customer Service**:

- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Assist customers with product selection and answer questions about available goods.
- Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate closing procedures.
- Investigating market trends and offering products that would appeal to customers
- **Operations and Sales**:

- Monitor sales performance and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Implement strategies to boost sales and meet sales targets.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment.
- Comply with company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- **Additional Responsibilities**:

- May handle cash handling and banking procedures.
- May create reports and submit data to upper management.
- May be involved in recruitment and interviewing new staff.
- Stay informed about new products and industry trends.
- Keep open lines of communication with upper management
- Attend mandatory corporate meetings and training sessions.
- Any other task assigned by the superiors.
- _**Eligibility and Requirements**:_
- **Education**: Minimum **High School education (10+2). **Bachelor’s degree with Accounting/Finance/Business Administration will be preferred.
- **Experience**:

- At least **2 years’ experience as Shop/Store Supervisor/Manager, **preferably in retail business.
- At least one year’s experience in Point-of-Sale software.
- In-depth knowledge of product and consumer trends, and marketing strategies.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in dealing with employees and customers.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with applicable labor laws, and retail health and safety standards.
