**Professor - Full time & Adjunct (Remote Positions)**

The professor is the instructional leader for each course. Creating an active learning environment and fostering learning challenges and opportunities is the primary responsibility. The position requires an individual that is skilled in instructional strategies, pedagogy and content knowledge.

The professor plays a key role in creating a successful learning atmosphere for each student.

**Skills and Responsibilities**

The professor is responsible for the following:
1. Understanding and supporting the university mission and objectives

2. Leading interactive courses with at least one scheduled video conference with each student and at least one scheduled group video conference per 8-week term

4. Evaluating student achievement and assessing the student's work within assigned courses using Acacia University rubrics and scoring guides

5. Maintaining confidentiality of information learned about students enrolled in the courses as well as information shared by other professors, administrators, another LC, or student during the course(s) or in meetings

6. Demonstrating excellence in instructional skills in terms of engaging students to learn

7. Showing skill and commitment to integrating coursework in the learning process

8. Showing the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower students to think critically about coursework

9. Engaging in research in chosen field

10. Collaborating with colleagues on academic issues, presentations, clarifications and/or decision-making

11. Publishing and assisting others in publishing in scholarly journals

12. Presenting findings and research at academic conferences

13. Advising students regarding coursework, time management, and assignments

14. Participating and demonstrating leadership in faculty meetings and the

Professor/Learning Coach Seminar course

15. Participating in curriculum development and course revision committees

16. Defining, evaluating, and validating course objectives and student outcomes

17. Developing individualized instruction using a variety of well-designed instructional material including multimedia presentations and current interactive technologies, focusing primarily on experiential and project-based learning

18. Selecting and improving learning materials and resources as well as submitting revision requests for course content if needed

19. Chairing and/or serving on research and dissertation committees, as assigned

20. Participating in professional development (conferences, workshops, seminars, presentations, etc.) equal to 6 graduate credits or 90 CEUs every two years

Meetings, and other methods of communication when necessary for success of course participants, graduate assistants, and doctoral interns

22. Identifying, reporting and recording any cases of plagiarism and contacting student, sharing concerns, giving warnings along with constructive guidance (An Acacia

**Qualifications**
- Has an earned doctorate specializing in educational leadership, curriculum and instruction, or higher education
- Has a distinguished record of teaching, scholarship, and experience in a school system, university or educational organization
- Has been a teacher or administrator at least five years in a K-12 system, university, or educational organization
- Is able to communicate and collaborate proficiently with all publics
- Has successful experience working with diverse groups of people
- Demonstrates instructional skills and knowledge in online learning and online communication vehicles
- Demonstrates the ability to analyze, research, plan, and organize
- Is knowledgeable and experienced in initiating, maintaining, and inspiring professional learning communities in an online environment
- Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication

**Job Type**: Contract

**Salary**: AED200.00 - AED350.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
