**Job Summary**:
The School Photographer is responsible for capturing high-quality photographs of students, staff, and events within the school environment. This role involves working closely with school administrators, students, and parents to deliver professional portraits and event photography.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Photography Services**:
- Take individual and group photographs of students, staff, and school events.
- Ensure high-quality image capture through proper use of lighting, equipment, and techniques.
- Edit and retouch photos to meet the school’s standards and preferences.
- **Planning and Coordination**:
- Coordinate with school administration to schedule photo sessions and events.
- Prepare and organize necessary equipment and backdrops for different types of shoots.
- Manage time effectively to ensure all scheduled sessions are completed on time.
- **Customer Interaction**:
- Communicate with students, parents, and staff to make them feel comfortable during photo sessions.
- Provide clear instructions on poses and attire to achieve desired results.
- **Editing and Post-Production**:
- Utilize photo editing software to enhance images and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Create proofs and final images for review and approval.
- Prepare and deliver final prints and digital copies to the school and individual clients.
- **Equipment Management**:
- Maintain and operate professional photography equipment and ensure it is in good working condition.
- Handle and transport equipment safely and efficiently.
- **Compliance and Safety**:
- Adhere to school policies and regulations regarding photography and data privacy.
- Ensure all students’ and staff’s images are handled with confidentiality and respect.
- **Marketing and Sales**:
- Promote photography services to prospective clients and handle inquiries.
- Manage sales of photo packages and individual prints.
**Experience**:
- Proven experience as a photographer, preferably in a school or educational setting.
- Familiarity with portrait and event photography techniques.
**Skills**:
- Proficient in using professional camera equipment and photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work with children and create a positive and comfortable environment.
