Location Overview:
The school is located in Jeddah on the Red Sea close to Mecca. Resort hotels, beaches and outdoor sculptures line the Corniche, a seafront promenade anchored by the iconic King Fahd's Fountain. The city's Al-Balad historic district dates to the 7th century and retains traditional homes built from coral. You'll find there is a rich cultural heritage to explore and Jeddah very much presents itself as a city of contrasts with distinctly modern architecture offset by traditional Arabic values

The role:

- Provide leadership which will inspire, motivate, challenge and support all staff employed by the School.
- To maintain and enhance staff morale.
- Further develop an ethos in the School which encourages openness and dialogue and where staff and student opinions are valued.
- Provide opportunities for all staff to develop their professional skills as an aid to improving performance and student achievement.
- Further development systems within the School ensure the effective evaluation of performance and development needs.
- These will be set out in the annual SDP.
- Ensure that all staff have the opportunity to work as part of effective teams and so benefit from mutual support and development.
- Ensure that all staff have appropriate job descriptions, updated to reflect changes that may occur, and a staff appraisal performance evaluation yearly.
- To market the school and to secure early and smooth recruitment.
- To be available to meet staff, pupils, parents.
- To maintain a healthy and positive relationship with the governors
- To lead the development of the annual School SEF.

**Requirements**:

- Must have experience in a similar role
- UK curriculum experience preferred
- Experience of working in the ME preferred
- Previous international and EAL teaching experience is desirable
