Job Summary

As a Chartering Executive within our ship management company, you will play a vital role in overseeing and coordinating the chartering activities of our fleet of vessels. Your main responsibility will be to optimize the chartering process, negotiate contracts, and ensure the successful execution of charter agreements. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including shipowners, brokers, and other industry professionals, to achieve optimal operational and financial outcomes.

**Responsibilities**:
Chartering Strategy: Develop and implement effective chartering strategies to maximize vessel utilization, revenue, and profitability.

Charter Negotiations: Engage in negotiations with shipowners, charterers, and brokers to secure optimal charter terms and conditions, including rates, duration, and contractual terms.

Contract Management: Review, draft, and administer charter contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with legal, commercial, and regulatory requirements.

Vessel Operations: Coordinate with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of charter agreements, including vessel positioning, bunkering, and voyage planning.

Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments related to chartering activities, considering factors such as market volatility, geopolitical events, and operational risks.

Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, brokers, charterers, and other industry stakeholders to foster collaboration and enhance business opportunities.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of chartering activities, prepare reports, and provide regular updates on market conditions, performance, and financial metrics.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to international maritime regulations, industry best practices, and company policies throughout the chartering process.

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).

Proven experience in chartering, shipbroking, or maritime operations within a ship management or shipping company.

Deep understanding of international shipping markets, chartering principles, and industry dynamics.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.

**Salary**: From AED4,000.00 per month
